On May 19, 2011, NFC officially signed the EPC general contract with Egyptian Anode Block Co. S.A.E for the Project with an annual output of 300,000-t calcined petroleum coke. The Project is located in the Sokhna Industrial Park in the Suez region of Egypt, and the contract includes the engineering design, civil construction, equipment supply and installation, equipment commissioning and technical field services for a new 300,000 t/a calcined petroleum coke plant. The Northeastern University Engineering & Research Institute Co., Ltd. undertook the overall design of the Project, the Tenova Core Company provided the calcining rotary-table miller technology and control equipment, and NFC Shenyang Metallurgical Machinery Co., Ltd. introduced and manufactured the main structure and peripheral equipment of the rotary-table miller. The Project is the first engineering project contracted by the company in Egypt.
