From February 25th to March 1st, Mr. Qin Junman, Chairman of the Board of NFC, attended a training and exchange event of "Belt and Road" and China-UK Infrastructure Cooperation, co-organized by CHINCA and the Department of International Trade (DIT) of UK. Experts from the UK Infrastructure and Project Authority (IPA), DIT, Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG), Lloyd Bank, Aon Corporation, KPMG, ARUP, Arcadis etc., delivered speeches covering a wide range of topics, such as infrastructure project management, project financing, insurance and risk management, infrastructure-related legal systems, sustainable investment and assessment tools, business development and stakeholder management.
During the week, the organizers also hosted a number of exchanges and activities: Luncheon with Mayor Peter Estlin of the City of London; Breakfast with Ms. Baroness Fairhead, Minister of State for Trade and Export Promotion at the Department for International Trade (DIT); Visit to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and exchange with Mr. Enzo Quattrociocche, Secretary General of the Bank; and Meeting with Sir Tom Troubridge, Vice President of China Britain Business Council (CBBC). During the sessions, Chairman Qin Junman also held in-depth talks with partners from Germany and Cameroon on specific co-operations.
This exchange was the first event of the China-UK Infrastructure Institute in 2019 under the framework of China-UK Infrastructure Alliance. The event was attended by nearly 30 representatives from major international contractors or financial institutions in China, led by President Fang Qiuchen of CHINCA.
