From February 4 to 8, Mining Indaba, the African Mining Summit, was held in Cape Town, South Africa. NFC was invited to attend as exhibitor, taking part in the event with earnest efforts to showcase its development under China’s "Belt and Road" initiative, and its business achievements with global perspective in international market, especially that in Africa. During the exhibition, NFC booth attracted more than 100 professional visitors in mining related fields.
In the summit, NFC vice-president Qin Junman attended the ministerial meeting and then met with internationally renowned companies such as Vedanta Resources, Ivanhoe Mining, Eurasia Resources Group, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Standard Bank of South Africa respectively. Mr. Qin also received interview from official media of the summit, further extending NFC’s goodwill of cooperation to African friends.
Mining Indaba, Africa's largest mining-themed summit, has more than 20 years of history and annually hosts more than 6,000 participants from mining enterprises, investment companies, government agencies, the media and other mining related industries. This year, leaders of more than 15 African government ministries attended the summit.
