During the period of Belt and Road Forum, NFC vice-president Ma Jinping met delegation of BKPM and BAPPENAS of Indonisia, and NFC CFO Gong Xinyong attended round table meeting with Chinese entrepreneurs held by Prime Minister of Mongolia.
On May 13, Mr. Gong attended round table meeting with Chinese entrepreneurs held by Prime Minister Jargaltulga Erdenebat at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. As representative, Mr. Gong reported the operation of NFC’s zinc mine in Mongolia and promised that NFC would persue common development and mutual beneficiation as always to make more contribution to local economic and social development. Mr. Erdenebat fully recognized NFC’s performance for 10-plus years, and looked forward to NFC’s further introduction of advanced experience and technology to bring more benefit to local industry.
On May 16, Mr. Ma met Mr. Tom Lembong, chairman of Investment Coordinating Board Republic of Indonesia (BKPM) and Prof. Bambang Brodjonegoro, minister of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS) at Conrad Hotel. After Mr. Ma’s introduction of NFC’s performance on overseas investment, construction and operation in nonferrous metal industry, especially the recent progress on Dairi Zinc-lead project, Mr. Lembong highly commended NFC’s achievement. He noted that President Joko Widodo specially proposed developing North Sumatra, Sulawesi and North Kalimantan as key areas in the framework of Indonisia’s participation into Belt-and-Road initiative at his meeting with President Xi Jinping during BRF. Dairi project locates at northwest of Sumatra, and Indonesian government will gradually implement incentive policies on these areas. Mr. Lembong and Prof. Brodjonegoro are looking forward to NFC’s cooperation with its Indonesian partners on bauxite, alumina, nickle and cooper projects besides Dairi project by fully leveraging its financing, construction and technological capabilities.
