On Feb. 24th, 2011, Mr. Ron Knapp, secretary general of International Aluminium Institute (IAI) meets Mr. Qin Junman, vice president of NFC at NFC headquarters, exchanging ideas on the status quo and trend of global aluminium industry, especially on its booming development in China and the important role NEUI (Northeastern University Institute, NFC's secondary company) is playing in it.
Mr. Knapp highly appraised NFC's comprehensive strength and especially the significant achievement in aluminium industry. Mr. Knapp is impressed by NEUI's breakthrough on aluminium electrolysis technology above 400KA scale and comments that China is not only playing an important role in world aluminium industry but will also promoting its future development. As a technology provider, EPC contractor and potential aluminium producer, NFC will play a remarkable part in it. He also invites NFC to join IAI and attend its formal meetings as guest.
Based in London, IAI has 27 member companies worldwide at present, with the membership being responsible for more than 80% of world primary aluminium production and a significant proportion of the world's recycling production, which makes IAI's meetings therefore held at the highest level in the industry.
